U.S. Trials Champion Alan Webb Added
To World Class Sports Roster of Athletes

(EL SEGUNDO, CA - August 11, 2004) - Alan Webb, winner of the recent U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials in the 1500 meters, and considered by many sports experts to be the finest U.S. miler since Jim Ryun, has signed an exclusive marketing agreement with World Class Sports.

Webb, only 21 years old, won the U.S. Olympic Trials by over 20 yards, running 3:36.13 in sweltering heat.

Webb has already run the metric equivalent of a sub 3:50 mile, faster than Jim Ryun ever did.  Three years ago, Webb broke Ryun's 36-year-old high school record, running 3:53.43 in the mile as a South Lakes HS, Reston, VA. senior.  Earlier this year, Webb improved his 1500 meters best to 3:32.74, the equivalent of a 3:49 mile, beating Ryun's best mile performance, 3:51.1.

Webb is a fresh new face on the Olympic scene, and the elite of middle distance running. He combines speed and endurance, qualities that make him sure to improve in years to come.  Webb is a genuine, confident guy who lives and breathes track and field.

"This is his love, and his life, and he is a breath of fresh air in sports," stated World Class Sports president, Don Franken.

World Class Sports is a sports celebrity agency that markets athletes for commercial and print endorsements and appearances.  World Class Sports will have offices in Athens for the entire track and field portion and just following the Olympics to help service all requests.

Flynn Sports Management will continue to manage Webb, handling his current Nike endorsement as well as all Webb's track and field appearances.

Please call (310) 535-9120 and speak with Don Franken or Andrew Woolf for all endorsement inquiries.
